The short and simple answer is no. Warframe does not currently support crossplay between any consoles or devices. The game is available on basically every platform except for mac.
Released for PC in March of 2013, it ported to the Playstation 4 later that year. An Xbox One port followed almost a year later in September of 2014.
Nintendo also got in on the action when the title was finally available on the Switch in November of 2018.
So why doesn’t Warframe support cross-play support? We may never know the exact reason, but here are some ideas.
While there are no plans on the books to add cross-play support for Warframe anytime soon, there is one glimmer of hope.
Just over 1 year ago on October 4th, 2019 the devs discussed the question of potential “cross-save” features during Warframe dev blog 131.
Creative director Steve Sinclair had this to say.
“Cross-save is something that we’ve done a very large investigation on. I have some monstrous 20 page doc that’s been handed to me by the programming staff to look over how we approach that”.
As of today, this statement is over a year old and we still don’t have any news or updates on cross-play or cross-save support for Warframe.
More recently, on May 8th of this year, the devs again mentioned that cross-save is not in the works on their at home dev stream.
Looks like we’ll have to do some begging & pray for the best.
