Pandas are cute, passive creatures that exist within Jungle biomes in your Minecraft world. You may be wondering if it’s possible to tame one of these adorable panda bears.
If so, we have all the answers & we’ll cover everything you need to know in this guide.
Are Pandas Tameable?
No. At this time you are not able to tame any type of panda bear (normal or brown) in any current edition of Minecraft.
It’s unfortunate that you can’t tame pandas as they are one of the coolest, laidback mobs that exist within the Minecraft universe.
While we wish & hope for an update it is most likely that Panda taming will never be added to any base version of the game (without mods).
What Can You Do With Pandas?
Since Pandas aren’t tameable you may be wondering what benefits or useful additions to the game experience they provide.
Here are some ideas of what you can use pandas for:
- You can breed them under special conditions & spawn more baby pandas. However, even baby Pandas can’t be claimed or tamed.
- You can capture / trap them inside of an enclosure which can give you the illusion of having tamed Pandas.
- Pandas can be lured away or towards locations by offering them bamboo & getting them to follow you to the location of your choice.
Unfortunately Pandas are mostly a cosmetic / visual addition to the Minecraft world & they don’t offer much in terms of actions or resources.
There is always a possibility that Mojang listens to the community & adds the ability to tame & control your own Pandas!
