Managers are the most expensive employee that you can purchase in the game and are also tricky to use efficiently, so we only recommend them later in the game. This guide will help you learn how to use them effectively.
How to Use the Manager in Retail Tycoon 2
The best way to use the Manager in Retail Tycoon 2 is to wait until you have enough money to afford one. You can also temporarily hire a Manager to help restock your store faster.
Managers are one of the 3 employees currently in the game. They cost $400 to hire and have a pay per minute of $40 and also require a desk.
This makes the manager the most expensive employee to hire.
Like other employees managers have a progression bar with buffs that associate with their level. These can be seen in the table below.
For a breakdown of other employees see our Retail Tycoon 2 starter guide here.
|Manager Level||Exp to Level Up||Buff|
|2||400||10% Spending Limit|
|3||1600||20% Spending Limit|
|4||6400||30% Spending Limit|
|5||Max||40% Spending Limit|
In order to hire a manager you will need a first need to purchase and place down a desk in your store.
A manager will always purchase goods that you are missing on your shelves. Managers have a spending limit which means they can only spend a certain % of money on purchases.
As you level up your manager they can spend more money to buy more items in bulk.
Since the manager’s purchases are automated and instant they are subject to the 25% increased cost.
This extra cost is applied to things ordered instantly by checking the check box or managerial purchases.
So if you really want to save money then purchase and transport your goods manually with your truck.
Managers work very well combined with restockers because the manager will automatically purchase goods and then the restocker will stock the shelves with them.
This allows a completely automated purchase of goods and a way to get them on the shelves.
Even though you can purchase multiple managers we recommend only using one in your stores at the start to gain its effects and buffs.
If you do not know how to use managers they can easily put you in a budget deficit.
We suggest only hiring them later in the game and when your store has enough money in the bank to afford one.
Once you have a very large store in the late game is when we recommend purchasing multiple managers.
This is because a single manager has a spending limit. You will need multiple managers in order to continue purchasing inventory at a large scale.
One manager most likely won’t be able to purchase it all unless they are leveled up.
That’s everything you need to know about how to use the Manager correctly in Retail Tycoon 2 on Roblox.
