If rumors are to be believed, a Nintendo Direct is imminent.

We’re already a month into the New Year, and all has been quiet on the Nintendo front for quite some time. However, if rumors are to be believed, that will change.

It has now been reported by multiple sources, including reputable Nintendo insider Jeff Grubb, that a Nintendo Direct is planned for next week, February 15th. It’s not too far-fetched since Nintendo held its first Nintendo Direct of 2023 on February 8th.

So, assuming this rumor is true, what’s on the docket? The Nintendo Switch is nearing the end of its lifespan, and rumors about their next mainline console have been revving up.

Could we see a glimpse of the unnamed Switch 2? The rumor mill has been revving up in terms of the next Nintendo console, and according to some sources, it could be released as soon as Q4 this year.

So, if that’s the case, it’s only a matter of time before they give us a sneak peek of what’s coming.

It’s also possible that they may save this news for a bit later in the year and take the time to address titles already announced, such as Princess Peach: Showtime!, Mario vs. Donkey Kong, and the anticipated Splatoon 3 DLC.

While I remain hopeful for even a glimpse at what Nintendo has in store for its next console, I’m not holding my breath. Nintendo has a track record of not giving in to rumors and hype. At this point, all we can do is wait and see.
