Pet Sim X Bug Autobans Players on Launch of Hardcore Mode

A significant bug during the Hardcore Mode update caused the ban of thousands of players from Pet Sim X.

Many users instantly found themselves banned from the game by an auto-ban feature built to protect themselves from exploiters.

At first, it was unknown what was causing the bans & it took a while for Preston or any other developers to say anything.

Everyone panicked & many feared that they would lose all of their pets/progress to the bug.

Autoban Mod Announcement

Below is the exact message that mod Nixie posted on the BIG Games Discord around 9:40 pm on July 29th, 2022.

Will be closing channels again so everyone can see this message: We have been made aware that the auto ban feature in game is having issues and banning players, for those accidentally banned we cannot unban you at the moment.

You will have to wait until the issues get fixed before we can. For those not affected yet:

PLEASE AVOID HATCHING/TRADING EGGS FROM HARDCORE FANTASY WORLD AS IT WILL TRIGGER THE BAN. THE REST OF THE GAME IS STILL PLAYABLE.

Those banned for exploiting are still permanently banned and can not be appealed

FAQ’s:

Will I lose my pets? No you don’t lose your pets from being banned all your pets, gems and currency will still be there.
How do I get unbanned? Once things are fixed we will work on unbanning all those affected. You will not have to contact us to appeal.
Estimated eta for fix? We will let you know as soon as we know.

What if You’re Still Banned?

You most likely aren’t banned anymore if you haven’t done anything wrong or used any exploits.

However, we know the track history of PSX & you may still be falsely banned even though they claim all of the bugs are gone.

If this is the case, you need to submit an appeal to BIG Games on their official support request website. Again, choose “Bug Report” as the report option.

You can always find support & extra help by joining the official BIG Games Discord server if none of these solutions work out for you.
