Adopt Me! is one of the oldest & most popular games on the Roblox platform. There are still millions of players per day who love to take care of & trade their pets. Many players weren’t around back then & are wondering what the first pet ever was. Read on to find out!
What Was the First Pet in Adopt Me!?
This may surprise you, but once upon a time Adopt Me! did not have pets in the game! When it launched in June of 2017 it was simply a life simulator where you could play as a parent or a baby & take care of your family.
The game was like this for a long time until two years later when the massive pets update came to the game on June 15th, 2019.
Pets were hinted at during the Easter 2019 update. Players who had collected a Broken Egg from the top of the Sky Castle & returned it to Eggburt received an unusable “Pet Egg”.
Anyone who completed this task would have their Pet Egg turn into a Blue Egg on the day the Pet update came out. The only pet that could hatch from it was the Blue Dog.
There was also a Pink Egg that could have been obtained during the pet update countdown event by talking to Sir Woofington. The only pet that comes from the egg is the Pink Cat.
Neither of these eggs / pets are possible to get anymore unless you trade another player for them. They are a pretty rare item to have & are worth a lot.
Other Launch Day Eggs
In addition to the eggs that were introduced prior to the update, there were three other eggs that you could purchase using bucks. These eggs are:
- The Cracked Egg
- The Pet Egg
- The Royal Egg
There were a lot of pets launched during the release & most of them can still be bought & hatched today, but aren’t as rare as the Blue & Red Eggs.
Are you looking to get your hands on these rare launch day pets? They will most likely continue to rise in value the older that the game gets, so get one now!
