Call of Duty: Warzone receives its big Season 2 update, bringing new guns, mechanics, and more!

Activision’s flagship battle royal, Warzone, has seen a lot of changes over the years. Now in its third iteration and fourth map, it has players fighting over dominance in the fictional Urzikstan.

Today marks the beginning of the game’s season 2 update, bringing about several new features, guns, skins, and more.

Back due to popular demand is Fortune’s Keep for the popular Warzone mode Resurgence. This will be your bread and butter for those looking for a tighter, smaller, but more hectic battle royal experience.

And if you feel that you’re pretty skilled. A head above the rest. Then you’re in luck because ranked play is coming to Resurgence!

Warzone also will be introducing four new weapons into the mix. The BP50 AR and Ram-9 SMG will be available at launch via the Season 2 Battle Pass. Then the SOA Battle Rifle and Soulrender Blade will likely drop with the inevitable mid-season update.

Season 1 has been dominated recently by the Ram–7 and Bruen MK9, but the meta has been somewhat stable since the nerf of the broken MTZ Interceptor.

But with a slew of weapon adjustments and new attachments, it will be interesting to see where the new meta lands. Knowing Warzone, something will be broken, used to death, and then nerfed into the ground, never seen again.

In the meantime, you can catch me running around as Rick Grimes, camping with a sniper like the cowardly player I am.
