The lineup for the acclaimed fighting game tournament EVO 2024 has been announced. The lineup includes several hit fighting games from the current era of fighting games and a few surprise returns from long-gone games.

The event will be held in the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall on July 19-21.

Here are the entries that are part of the EVO 2024 lineup:

  • Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising
  • Guilty Gear: Strive
  • The King of Fighters XV
  • Mortal Kombat 1
  • Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike – Fight for the Future
  • Street Fighter 6
  • Tekken 8
  • Under Night In-Birth II Sys: Celes

The more surprising appearance of the lineup is Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. The game has been remarkably absent from the event as it gave way to multiple future titles.

This follows the remarkable return of Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, which was seen on 2023’s edition of EVO. This could begin a trend where EVO brings back a legacy title that hasn’t been seen in years.

As for other games in the lineup, some interesting facts exist, such as how Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is making its first official debut on the EVO stage after being demoed at EVO 2023.

Meanwhile, The King of Fighters XV and Guilty Gear Strive both hold the “longest standing” games in the lineup, as this is their third appearance in the main event of EVO.

EVO 2024 will also mark the year the event sees plenty of upgrades for its attendees. Some of the new upgrades include the largest Evo free-play arcade and BYOC section ever created, a new art gallery with works from the history of the fighting game genre, bigger and better Evo merchandise offerings, and an expanded cosplay contest with photo dioramas and featured guest judges.

Attendees will no longer need to purchase separate badges for the Finals. Instead, players only need to buy one badge to make the most of the experience.
